Clare’s Deli

I discovered Clare’s on New Year’s Day, when many of my other sandwich haunts were closed. I’m glad I did – it’s a really charming spot two blocks from Dolores Park (ideal for grabbing picnic items) that serves solid sandwiches (pulled pork, french dip, deli-style, tuna melt, you name it). Love the decor inside and really enjoyed the bourbon BBQ chicken sandwich, though the other one we tried (a basic turkey sandy with all the works on whole wheat) wasn’t anything to write home about.
