Feature :: Hi Lo BBQ

The funny thing about Hi Lo BBQ is it’s not one of the “I’ve been dying to try this forever” places that usually makes it onto B&M. That’s not to say I hadn’t heard all the hype about it – lots of news about chefs coming and going, menu changes – but for some reason, I wasn’t super jazzed about it. I headed in for dinner last night and was really pleasantly surprised. It’s a great space (see below) with a low key atmosphere despite the upscale BBQ menu items. I was especially impressed by the starters and sides we got: a coal roasted beet salad with grapes and goat cheese, watermelon salad (with grilled levain bread and smoked serrano pepper) and house made pull-apart rolls. Yum. The meat was good too – we tried the brisket and pulled pork, which were especially delicious when stuffed into the pulled apart rolls.
