Feature :: Cliff House

Cliff House, the beautiful neoclassical building that has been perched on a Point Lobos cliff overlooking Ocean Beach since 1909, has long been a place I’ve wanted to check out. I finally made it out there one afternoon this past weekend for a glass of vino, some potstickers and one of the most amazing views in San Francisco. From basically any seat in the restaurant/cocktail room/bar, you’re surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows that create a panoramic view of the Northern California coastline. On a clear day, it’s pretty unreal. But I think even on a foggy day, it would be an awesome place to grab a drink. The food isn’t anything to write home about (and of course, it’s way overpriced), but the view is more than worth it. However, I have read about an unlimited Sunday brunch buffet that firmly remains on my to-conquer list…

Cliff House // 1090 Point Lobos Ave  San Francisco // Monday through Sunday 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
