Palo Alto restaurant openings

Though I think Palo Alto’s food scene is, for the most part, pretty lagging (which I really don’t understand, considering there’s a ton of money, interest in food and general entrepreneurship in the area), it’s definitely on the up-and-up. On the heels of Steam dim sum and Tacolicious opening last month, we got a new Umami burger on University Ave. this week (see pictures below), are waiting on a CREAM ice cream a couple stores down from Umami early spring/summer and a Gott’s Roadside in Town and Country Center slated to open this June (construction started this week, see photo below). It almost makes me think I could stick around here a bit longer instead of moving to San Francisco…almost. Walking down University Ave. today, I noticed quite a few spaces for rent, so here’s hoping the trend continues and Palo Alto gets some more tasty tenants in 2013.
