Feature :: Chambers Eat + Drink

Ever since my brother got me the best birthday present ever in the form of a Gilt City voucher to the most epic dinner of my life at Morimoto in Napa, I’ve been trolling the flash sale website for other goodies. A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a cocktail brunch for two at Chambers Eat + Drink in the city, so swooped it up for a friend’s birthday present. We redeemed the voucher this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Chambers reminds me a lot of The Standard in L.A., if you’ve ever been there. If not, both are old hotels, remodeled and made into artisan/foodie/hipster hot spots with a retro rock n’ roll feel. Chambers is next to the Phoenix Hotel, literally in the Tenderloin, but totally worth a trip. Awesome decor – shelves stocked with old records line the walls, beautiful wood tables throughout, an amazing outdoor area that feels more like Vegas or Palm Springs than San Francisco – and awesome food. What more do you need?

We ordered the tofu hash (tofu, brussel sprouts, oyster mushrooms, red onions, garlic confit, farro, almond, and added two poached eggs) and the soft scrambled eggs (broccoli, cauliflower, romanesco, st. george cheese, szechuan chili oil). We also got a coffee cake as part of the Gilt deal, which was good but not great. Cocktails were top notch.
