Feature :: Mayfield Bakery & Cafe

Its been open for awhile (I think since 2009?) but I visited Mayfield Bakery & Cafe in Palo Alto yesterday for the first time and was totally enchanted. The place is huge, with a full restaurant, bar, outside dining area and adjoining bakery/cafe.

I hung out for a couple hours doing work, sipping on a delicious coffee in the sun. I also bought a half loaf of house-baked bread to bring home, which I have yet to try but I’m sure is delicious. The bakery had tons of other goodies — muffins, granola, tarts, croissants, etc — that I can’t wait to try. I didn’t order any food either, but snooped on other people’s orders and everything looked delicious. Definitely returning for brunch or breakfast at some point.

It’s a bit overpriced, but it is what it is. It’s a beautiful setting and a lot nicer than most establishments in the area. Worth checking out, even if it’s just for a coffee and a snack.

  1. Excellent goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you are just extremely great. I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you’re stating and
the way in which you say it. You make it entertaining and
you still take care of to keep it wise. I cant wait to read far
more from you. This is actually a great website.
