Here’s the thing about smoothie recipes: they’re stupid and pointless. Smoothies are about throwing whatever you want (or whatever’s in the fridge) into a blender and tailoring it to your taste/preferences. But I do like seeing what other people put in their smoothies to get inspiration. A couple weeks ago I saw one recipe with cinnamon; tried it and loved it.
Today, I made a pretty tasty kale, banana, berry & miscellaneous fruit smoothie so I thought I’d share. Here’s what I threw in:
- One banana
- A few small handfuls of kale (could do more if you’re aiming for a “green” smoothie)
- Handful of strawberries, blackberries, mango & red grapes
- One orange, squeezed
- One spoonful of chia seed
- One spoonful of flax seed
- Handful of ice
The End. Tasty, but again, you could add more fruit to make it more of a fruit smoothie, stick with just banana and kale or add more kale to make it a green smoothie. Whatever floats your smoothie boat. Enjoy!
